Who Are We?


Dr. John H. Nugent, CPA, CFE, CISM, FCPA.  John is a Board of Director Member of Digital Defense Group, Omaha, NE, and is the founding director of Center of Information Assurance (IA) and MBA and MM programs in IA, and serves as an associate professor at the Graduate School of Management, University of Dallas where he teaches courses on business strategy, IA, wireless, telecommunications and capstone courses.

Previously, John served as a Fortune 10 subsidiary CEO serving as president and a board of director member of a number of AT&T subsidiaries.  There he oversaw the development of over 100 state of the art products ranging from chips, to communication products, to secure switches and satellite systems.

John was awarded the Defense Electronics “10 Rising Stars” award in July 1989 as well as the Diplome de Citoyen D’Honneur, Republic of France in June1988 for his work there.  John is a member of the U.S. Secret Service’s North Texas Electronic Crimes Task Force and is a sub-committee chair of several American Bar Association (ABA) committees that research and publish on cyber security, cyber law, privacy, and Information Assurance matters.

John also serves as a national lecturer for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) where he leads sessions for State CPA Societies on auditing, internal controls, fraud prevention and detection, and IT controls.  He is widely published and has appeared many times on national television and radio, as well as a business and technology expert in leading newspapers. John has consulted for many organizations including the following:

American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) , Bank of America, Canadian Foreign Ministry, Convergent International, Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau,  Dallas Police Department Intelligence Fusion Center, DLJ (now CSFB), Ericsson, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Fujitsu, Globe Ranger, Haynes & Boone, IBM/LCI – Australia,  InventX Corporation, IP Communications, Language Computer Corporation, Lymba Corporation, Marconi Communications, MCI / Pace University, METI (formerly MITI, Japan), Nortel Networks, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), Pet Ecology Brands, Inc., PMMR, Inc.(mining company), Source, Inc., SyberPro, Inc., U.S. State Department, and Winstar Corporation amongst others. 

Mr. Mark Alsalih is a senior international advisor and consultant for several U.S and Middle Eastern companies.  He focuses primarily on business development and strategic growth opportunities in the Middle East. He has over twenty years of experience in international business development for two multi-billion dollar U.S. corporations.  Mr. Alsalih was involved in negotiating technology for equity transactions, as well as acquisitions of companies owned by Middle Eastern governments. He plays a consultancy role for three prominent family-held business enterprises in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.  He was assigned in 1994 by Armstrong World Industries to establish a regional sales, marketing and strategic business development office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This office had sales and marketing responsibilities for 24-countries throughout Asia, Africa and the Mediterranean.   Other achievements include opening up Middle Eastern, Indian and Pakistani markets for American and Australian companies along with the establishment of a vast distribution network for their goods. He played an active role in assisting U.S reconstruction efforts in post-war Middle Eastern countries such as Kuwait and Lebanon.  Mr. Alsalih received his Engineering degree from Kansas State University in 1984.


 Dr. Watson was Chief of Staff of the White House under President Lyndon B. Johnson, Postmaster General of the U.S., and subsequently CEO and President of Occidental Petroleum International. As Postmaster General, a cabinet-level position, he was CEO of the U.S. Postal Service which had employees in excess of 762,000 and an annual budget of over $10.8 billion.  Dr. Watson has worked extensively in the petroleum and chemical industries and with Fortune 500 corporations, Government agencies and the financial community.  While at Occidental Petroleum, Dr. Watson participated, with the blessing of King Faisal, in the formation of the first joint stock company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (SAFCO – Saudi Arabian Fertilizers Company in partnership with Petromin (see “Made in Saudi Arabia,” by William Tracy, Saudi Aramco World, May/June 1974 print edition.

 Eng Ferej Alowedi (now authorized CIT consultant). Ferej is a Board of  Director Member of Saudi Liquid Technology (SALT), CEO of Safenets, Owner of Secure Systems Establishment, Ferej graduated from University of Kent at Canterbury in Bsc Electronics on July 1973. Alowedi held the rank of ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Court of St. James (United Kingdom) from 2003 to 2006.  Previously he served as a General Grade Officer from 1997 – 2002 in the Security Services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  Alowedi also served in numerous other official capacities during his distinguished 33 years of government service to the Kingdom, including the development and management of extremely large, complex technical operations, product and system developments and deployments, and management of a large wireless system .  He was educated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, as well in the United States.  He is the recipient of numerous military honors including: Kuwait Liberation Medal, Medal for Military Appreciation, Medal of Invention, and Medal for Precision, Medal for Military Administration, and Medal for Leadership.  Ambassador Alowedi has also authored numerous tomes.


Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Tasan Graduated in  (Physics) From King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals Dhahran – Saudi Arabia & University of Wisconsin Madison, Wisconsin-USA.


Becide other important positions Dr. Tasan held ADVISORY POSITIONS as Following:

  1. Advisor to the Customs Department to study the feasibility of using X-Ray to screen cargo containers. Also visited France and USA to study available systems in those countries and to evaluate equipment and products offered by several companies.

  2.  Advisor to the Municipality of Riyadh to evaluate a bid for their computer equipment

  3.  Advisor to the Imama Muhammed Ibn Saud University for their new Computer Centre

  4.  Advisor to Ministry of Industry and electricity in planning of ministry information Systems.

  5.  Advisor to Council of Shoura in Planning of Information Systems
